Christmas 2011 Wishlist

Since Christmas is just around the corner and I am quite busy myself in thinking about gifts that I will be giving my family and friends as well, I am also dealing with my own personal wishlist that I should not (no matter what) divulge to my boyfie.

He knows how much I don't like surprises and how much I plan for my life. Hahaha. However, our relationship has been lacking surprises, so I guess this wishlist may start a new habit. But, I love making things hard for him, so I need to do a mini-game of gift hunting, starting on stumbling to my personal blog (which I don't have any followers and I do not have tags on).

Well, to begin with, here is the list of my personal wishlist:

1. Everybody knew that I am planning to take my admissions test for a Global MBA this coming year. For preparation, I have been hunting down several reviewers for GMAT. Here are the three of the best ones in the market.

2. While reviewing and simulataneously doing my day job as a Research Executive, I have to be informed of the current market situation, especially on the Marketing Mix arena. I stumbled upon this book while browsing in one of the bookstores and I find this amusing since it is more of psychological understanding of the consumer (which everybody of us is) and the market itself.

3. The first time I read his book is during the book review project that I need for a college subject. From then on, I bought the first one (as the second book was the book we need to review) to start the collection. However, I wasn't able to add up the rest of his books in my collection, since I am busy with the fictional ones (Ahem, Rick Riordan). The next 2 books are will be addition to my collection.

4. Being a woman (yes, I am), I am so fond of shoes - well, flats. I have seen these flats online, and when I checked them, they have different colors that I want. :D Luckily, I can visit them in their own home to try them myself.

5. My friends know how organized I am with my things and my calendar and I always plan my activities. I have started collecting stamps for this journal since I am also a fan of the coffee shop. This giving journal is the start of my volunteering plan that I am doing by the start of the year. Also, with the discount coupons that come with it, I will be gaining more and more points for my Swirl card and enjoying the beverages (and cakes) when I am so stress at work.

I may have this wishlist updated before Christmas comes or maybe, I'll be able to buy them myself. But this will be reimbursible to my best guy.

Now, I'll be gift hunting again for the rest of my godchildren and parents.

Rough year

To describe this year in one word: ROUGH.

Yes, I have been through a lot of stress, thinking and weighing stuff out. I have met several people this year, managed to know them inside and out. I've been a blabber this year, and I know I myself disappointed and my friends too.

I had plans earlier this year, to shift careers or maybe, just get out of my current job. However, fate and luck were not on my side, I didn't pass any of my applications. Yes, it saddens me. I mean, I know I was ready to move on. I know, I can improve myself by joining these companies. Yet, HE may have different plans for me.

I have working out for my 2012 plans. I'll be starting another month of planning, getting ready for my 2012. I have few on my list - reviewing for my GMAT and TOEFL, scheduling them by the end of the first quarter, sending my resumes to various companies, getting busy with my blog and volunteering.

I know 2011 will soon wrap up, in barely a month. December may be the best time to ponder on myself, what I have done this year, what was the best and the worst.

Like another day from a recent break-up, I will definitely reinvent myself this 2012. I have to and I need to.

On lateness

I am never a late comer. I remember that when I was way back in my elementary days, I will be in school by 5am, though the flag ceremony is 6:30am and I am just living 5 minutes away from the school gate.

I get frantic when I get in my classes barely making it on time (on time for me mean 10 minutes early). Way back in college, I would always review my class schedule, giving enough time to walk from one building to another, and checking whether TOKI or IKOT make my life easier when I do not have the time to walk.

Up until now, I still have the same ethics. I would give cold shoulders to my boyfriend if he is 30 minutes late for our date or re-schedule our planned dates.

Not until now, I am doing this blog project and I am few months delayed. I have 3 more entries to make, one for our Bohol-Cebu trip last 2010, my lone trip to Cebu and CDO this 2011 and Boracay trip last August. By the way, its only the trips.

I have few more articles to write, our Banchetto, Jamba Juice and UTT events, and also MBA fair. So that's a total of 7 articles that I would be writing before the year ends.

I have one reason though, I don't write when I'm not in the mood. So does it count to be a valid reason? :)

Banchetto night and Wish Lanterns

I am really fun of Banchetto, though I have only visited the Megatent venue. One thing, I love food and just being with my friends. Officemates Lissa and Cams usually go with me (before, after a night jogging in Philsports, now, because of the rainy weather, after movie nights).

This time, our Banchetto Night will be special, as they have Wish Lanterns night. I will be coming there with Lissa, Cams and Khriz. I sent reservations right away after posting the event on my wall tagging my girlfriends. One by one, they confirmed and I clicked send on my mail account. Today, I received our confirmation. :D

For those who wanted to be at the event, the details are as follows:

BANCHETTO-MEGATENT will have a special activity on Friday, November 11, 2011. We will celebrate the 11-11-11 on that night with a bang!

We will have the WISH LANTERNS!

Wish Lanterns are the equivalent of mini hot air balloons. When released into the night sky the person releasing the lantern will traditionally make a wish for the future.

Wish Lanterns ® are 100% biodegradable, non-flammable, safe, and easy to use, creates an amazing visual effect that adds enjoyment and wonder to any special occasion. All you have to do is light the fuel cell, wait for the lanterns to fill up with hot air and then let go. You, your family and your guests will gaze as the Wish Lantern floats up to the sky. The Wish Lantern will be in the air for about 12 minutes and goes up over a mile in to the night sky!

We will release the WISH LANTERNS into the air all at the same time at exactly 11.11pm. Please bring your whole family with you and experience making a wish altogether as a family. Be there at 10pm so you can still write down your wishes in the wishing paper.

At this time, we would like to know who amongst you are interested to join us so we can order the equivalent number of WISH LANTERNS from our supplier.

We did a similar activity in BANCHETTO-FORUM during the Chinese New Year this year, and it really helped a lot in increasing the right chi, the right PROSPERITY Energy, everyone have attracted after.

The WISH LANTERNS costs Php 100 each - it comes with a wishing paper and a small candle.

To RESERVE A LANTERN, please email us your FULL NAME, CONTACT NO., NO. of LANTERNS and send it to info.banchetto@gmail.com. Lanterns will be claimed at the Banchetto MEGATENT Information Booth on Friday from 8pm-11pm.

Please note that only reservations made thru email will be counted. Lanterns will also be sold at the venue on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. Deadline for reservations will be on Friday at 12 noon. Thank you!

New blog, since I lost my account and password

I have this new blog, connected to my actual Gmail account. Finally, I am back into writing again. I am not sure if I can still write those entries again, but I will do my best to do it.

I am starting this blog again, in time of our 5th year anniversary. Writing has been my passion, and my partner since my significant other is relatively far away from me.

Well, time to think of the entries I will be writing. Travel photos have been edited, lots of events to attend this month.

Excited! :D
